Our support begins with the local economy. We’re a member of two Chambers of Commerce – Santa Fe, where the plant is located and Texas City, where the Ploss’ resided for many years. In addition, every effort is made to purchase supplies and materials from local businesses.
We fund multiple local organizations from the Quarterback Club, the band at
Texas City High School, the Santa Fe public library, and numerous churches in the community.
As a long time supporter of the
Galveston County Fair and Rodeo, we’ve made many donations to the 4H and FFA. The annual junior livestock auction is a company favorite. Each year Jack and Greg purchase animals raised by the local students. In 2005, Greg bid and won the Grand Champion market lamb which was then donated to H.I.S. ministries, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help feed the hungry.
For several years, members of the company rode in the
MS 150 from Houston to Austin to help find a cure for multiple sclerosis. For every dollar raised by employees, CP&P matches dollar for dollar. In 2008, Greg was the 43rd highest fund raiser out of 13,000 riders.
CP&P takes pride in serving our community and our men and women serving in our armed forces.
